Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, Sunday, April 6, 2003

On Sunday, Tom, Elle and I headed north for the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. We ended up spending all our time walking around the Roozengaarde tulip fields ($2/person entry, with free parking; apparently other places typically let you in for free but charge $2 to park). The weather forecast wasn't great, but it ended up being pretty nice, albeit a bit cool. Boots are recommended (and we were prepared) - the fields were very muddy in places. Much of the ground was a soft clay that was really fun to walk on.
