My brother Iain, his wife Elaine and their son Gabriel came out from Chicago to visit for a week. Of course, the real reason they came out was to watch Manchester United vs. Scotland, but since they were here for a week, we did a few other things as well. The weather was quite cooperative for their visit (not too surprising since it was late July). We did see the soccer game (Man U. took it, 4-nil, unfortunately), which was very well attended - Seahawks Stadium was packed. We also visited the zoo, saw Suzanne Vega at the ZooTunes concert series, took a harbor cruise, explored Pike Place Market, and had a lot of fun at the Seattle Center, going up the Space Needle, visiting the Pacific Science Center, going on some of the rides in the Fun Forest Amusement Park, and playing in the International Fountain at Seattle Center. (Twice. Hey, it's a fun fountain, and the weather was good.)
